Ballina is a lovely little town on the estuary of the Moy River. on a small hill near
the railway station, lies the dolmen of the Four Maols.
It is immediately beside the road and is signposted as a National Monument.
This dolmen is about 1.5m (4.9ft) high and has three stones that still support
a capstone. A fourth stone which originally helped support the capstone lies
nearby.
