A
remote group of decorated outcrops on the western shoulder of Creag Mhor.
This is the best preserved part of the largest rock-sheet, only revealed
in 1974. It bears 31 cups with single and double rings, numerous plain cups
and several channels, including a parallel group of three. But the most
interesting feature of the rock-sheet are the three so called 'rosettes'
(clearly visible in the photo): they are cup-and-rings with a circle of
small cups between the central cup and the ring.
On the westernmost much more weathered part of the rock-sheet there are
some plain cupmarks, cup-and-ring markings and several lengths of grooving.
In the surrounding forestry plantation are other smaller and less decorated
rock outcrops. |
