A
complex stone circle built in three phases. In the first a horseshoe-shaped
setting of 14 wooden posts was erected with a hearth at its centre. A ditch
surrounded the site.
In a second phase this was replaced by a similar-shaped setting of 8 standing
stones graded in height: it was 6m x 7.5m in diameter and one of the north-east
boulders was decorated by cupmarks.
In the third period twelve big schist stones were erected around the previous
stone setting, with two outlying boulders marking an entrance to the east-south-east.
This final stone circle is 12m in diameter.
