This
ring-cairn, the biggest of the Clava-type group,
lies in a field not far from the River Nairn (Inverness). Inside the almost
complete kerb of stones remains the disturbed cairn, mixed with earth and
turf-covered.
Of the encircling stone circle only three uprights survive. The largest
(in the foreground) is a gigantic slab 3.3m long and 3m wide but only 0.23m
thick.
