Broch
overlooking the Dunbeath Water, in Caithness. The broch wall, that is 1m
high at the entrance, rises to 4m at the opposite side. The internal diameter
is of 8.2m. A doorway opposite the entrance leads to a chamber within the
broch wall. In the entrance passage there are door-checks and traces of
a guard cell.
The site was cleared in 1990 by Historic Scotland and Dunbeath Preservation
Trust.
