This
flat rock outcrop with various cupmarks and cup-and-ring markings is on
the shoulder of a hill overlooking Kilmartin Valley. The markings were chipped
out of the 2.5m x 2m rock with a stone hammer.
The decoration comprises 11 cups with rings, at least 43 plain cupmarks
some of which are artificially enlarged natural cracks and several grooves
(or 'gutters') which link the cup-and-rings together.
An unusual feature is a cup with three horseshoe-shaped rings (in the foreground
of the photo). In care of Historic Scotland
