A
ruined stone circle, near Achmore (Acha Mor) village in central Lewis (Western
Isles). In the depth of peat 18 stones were found in 1981. Only two stand
erect, the other ones lying flat on the ground.
In the photo, two of the lying slabs with their packing stones and one of
the erect ones (in the background) are visible. The stones are along the
circumference of a true circle, 41m in diameter.
