New book on Neolithic 'superhighways'
A new book by German archaeologist Dr Heinrich Kusch has been published, which details his findings on Neolithic 'superhighways' from across the whole of Europe. The book is entitled 'Secret Of The Underground Door To An Ancient World'.
The 'superhighways' were, in fact, a series of tunnels, some large and some small, which have been found below Neolithic settlements across the whole of Europe, from Scotland in the Northwest to Turkey in the Southeast. The reason for the tunnels is not known but the most obvious explanations could be either for protection against predators and other tribes, or for travelling safely in bad weather conditions.
Dr Kusch is the author of 10 other books and has been conducting research worldwide into thousands of caves for over 50 years.
