Ancient plantations unearthed in Gozo
Archaeologists in Gozo (Malta) have found that troughsand plantations in MÄ¡arr Ix-Xini may date back to about 600 BCE. The Gozo Ministry said excavations, which began four years ago, tried to establish the date and origins of the troughs and plantations in the valley, which were probably used to cultivate vines to produce wine.
