Rock Art Weekend at the University of Bristol
The Archaeology & Anthropology Department at the University of Bristol (England) is hosting two rock art symposia over one weekend in May.
Saturday 6 May 2006 (10 AM - 8 PM): 3rd Bi-Annual Rock Art Symposium at the University of Bristol - Closing the Divide: New Perspectives in World Rock Art. Entrance fee: £19; location: University of Bristol, exact location to be confirmed; lunchtime buffet provided. Guest Speaker: Dr Angelo Fossati, University of Brescia. Among the speakers are: Tertia Barnett, Stan Beckensall, Christopher Chippindale, Aron Mazel, George Nash, David Robinson, Kate Sharpe, Clive Waddington. Each speaker will be allotted about 40 minutes, with questions and answers.
Sunday 7 May 2006 (10 AM - 5 PM): British Rock Art Group Symposium. Entrance fee: £8; location: University of Bristol, exact location to be confirmed. The fourth annual British Rock Art Group Symposium is concerned with exciting research into British rock art and by British-based rock art researchers working around the world. Speakers will include: Christopher Chippindale,m Liliana Janik, Aron Mazel, George Nash, Kate Sharpe, Adam Stanford, Clive Waddington.
