Eight thousand year old paintings found in Egypt
A joint US and Egyptian archaeological team have unearthed an ancient monument in the western desert region of Egypt.
Egyptian Culture Minister Farouk Hosni revealed the archaeologists had unearthed paintings that have been dated to eight thousand years old. The find, at Toshka, shows that ancient Egyptians were living in the area in prehistory.
Secretary of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Zahi Hawas said that animal bones and cereal warehouses were also found, confirming the dates.
