Opportunity to visit ancient roundhouses

The developers and archaeologists working on the site of a proposed housing development at Knockomie, near Forres (Scotland), where two roundhouses have been discovered, said this week that visitors to the site will be made welcome.
"If anyone is interested in the site I am more than happy to show them round," said Martin Cook, the senior archaeologist with AOC Archaeology, who will complete their excavations on Friday.
The site consists of two roundhouses, believed to date to the Bronze Age or Iron Age, and an as yet unidentified third feature, which will be investigated further this week.
Anyone interested in visiting the site should phone the AOC Archaeology head office on 0131 440 3593, who will get in touch with Mr Cook and make arrangements for a visit.
